Intergenerational Vacation Bible School July 20-22, 2009

An old spiritual song asks this question: “Were you there when they crucified my Lord?” In all honesty, we have to say “No”, but soon you could have a greater appreciation for the events of that historic week.

Our church will be hosting Journey to the Cross, an Easter learning experience, on Wednesday, July 22nd as part of our summer Vacation Bible School for children and adults.

As a traveler, you will have the opportunity to walk in Jesus’ footsteps during Holy Week by smelling the aroma of anointing perfume, tasting Passover food, feeling a crown of thorns, and so much more. You will hear about Jesus from Bible witnesses and be a part of the Passion experience.

If you would be interested in experiencing the walk, please sign up on the reservation sheets located at the front and back church entrances (or click here).  There will be a light dinner served at 5:30 and tours will start at 6:00.  Cost of this event is FREE and any age can participate.  We encourage you to bring a friend too!

Now is the time to sign up for the first two nights of VBS on July 20-21 as well!  All ages are encouraged to participate in this evening event, whether your “family” is one person or 20!  (More details can be found in the newsletter or you can actually register on the website!)  Mark your calendars now!

Blessings,

Your VBS and Journey to the Cross Committees
