Bible Study

After his resurrection, Jesus appeared to his disciples on a number of occasions.  At one particular time Jesus showed his loving forgiveness to Peter by reinstating him with this command:  “FEED MY LAMBS!”  FEED MY SHEEP!”   (John 21:15-17)

And to this day we at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church continue to carry out our Lord’s command to feed his lambs and his sheep by providing young and old alike with the opportunity to be nourished with the food of his precious Word.
Those opportunities consist of:

SUNDAY SCHOOL -- Sunday School is the opportunity for parents to bring their children to Trinity on Sunday mornings so they can continue to learn about the love Jesus has for them by learning Bible Stories.

Sunday School takes place on Sunday mornings between the morning worship services from 9:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

Each Sunday morning the children have the opportunity to learn Bible stories, do crafts and sing.
The classes are age appropriate.  They are divided accordingly:

  • 3 and 4 year olds
  • Kindergarten
  • 1st and 2nd Grades
  • 3rd Grade
  • 4th Grade
  • 5th and 6th Grades
  • 7th and 8th Grades

CATECHISM CLASS -- Catechism Class is the opportunity for the children of Trinity in grades 6th through 8th grade to grow in their knowledge of God’s Word by studying Luther’s Small Catechism.   The purpose of this class is to prepare the children Trinity to become communicant members of the congregation.   Catechism instructions is a three year course where the 6th and 7th graders attend Catechism lessons on Wednesday evenings from 6:30p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Bible Study classes on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. until 101:300 a.m.  The 8th graders attend Catechism lessons only on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. until 101:030 a.m. as they make their final preparations before they are confirmed on the first Sunday in May.

ADULT BIBLE CLASS --  Adult Bible Study is the opportunity for the confirmed members of Trinity to further their study of God’s Word by meeting on Sunday mornings during the same time as Sunday School, 9:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.  The Adult Bible Studies are conducted by the pastors and consist in the studying of a particular Book of the Bible or a topic of interest to the class.  Presently, we are studying the End Times.  Ladies' Bible Study and Men's Bible Study groups are also offered during the week.  Check the church calendar for details.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION --  Although Trinity does not have a Christian Elementary School, we do strongly encourage the members of Trinity to send their children of one of our area sister congregations with a Christian Elementary School.

In support of Christian Education the members of Trinity provide tuition assistance to the members of the congregation.

BIBLE INFORMATION CLASS – The Bible Information Class is an opportunity for individuals, especially non-members, to learn what we as a Lutheran Church believe and teach according to the Scriptures.

The classes are designed to help individuals learn in an informal setting what God’s Word has to say to them about eternal salvation.

These classes are non-committal, yet, they are a way for individuals to become communicant members of Trinity.

Members and non-members alike are encouraged and welcomed to attend these classes.  If you would more information about the class or would like to attend a class, please contact Pastor Smith or Pastor Natsis (734-429-4710)
